Kent Holmes is a singer-songwriter who was born in Shreveport, LA, where at an early age was busy singing in his local church and school. He graduated to teen glee clubs and local city clubs at the age 16, where he performed Jazz and R&B. He became a local success, but felt like there were bigger and better things that laid ahead for him in Los Angeles.
He entered school at Cal State Long beach, where he studied Counseling at the graduate level, but never worked in the field after graduation. Music was his passion, even though he had gone to school. He teamed up with Michael Bishop in the late nighties, and performed throughout the Hollywood area.
This lasted until he was side tracked by acting for the next 10 years, appearing in television and films, from LA to Miami. Music was never far away from his mind, and 3 years ago he came back to his original art, and in 2016 recorded his first pop song “Home” and “FlyAway”.
Now he is back to Jazz, where he began. Happy in lust, but will never forget the loves he lost. Enjoy his latest recording “Ada Brown”.
